1st August

Seems like today is turning out to be a good day!

It started like any other day, me struggling to get out of bed etc. But so far, it's been good! Great in fact!

New projects coming on, continued liaisons with our current clients.

Heading to the gym now, will handle reporting for our latest client when I get back!

Looking forward to some data analysis and info graphics!

Cheers

mental blocks

there have two things I have NOT been doing.

Going to the gym in the mornings

my speeches for toastmasters

I can't understand why. But I seem to have all kinds of excuses for them. I'm terrible.

Gymming:
Waking up seems to be the greatest of greatest task for me these days, I seem to just wanna sleep. Next week onwards, I really should.
Will go to the gym tonight tho.

Toastmasters:
Ever since I did that humorous speech contest, I haven't been able to go in front and speak, tho I have also been busy. last week I was supposed to go, but I ended having to go to Penang at the last minute unexpectedly.Reallyy!!!

i looooove bicycles

Today I cycled to the office, was stuck at home with no car, and thought to my self, I am not gonna depend on cars anymore!

So I took my cycle and cycled to the office.

The best part was, on my way, on the road, I  saw another cyclist. We both saw each other, I waved, he waved back!

It was such an exciting feeling.

The love, mutual respect, the niceness between two strangers on a road with the same interest.

And no I don't think using the word love is inappropriate.

Now all I want, is for the roads in KL to have some bicycle lanes, but I'm not sure if Malaysians have the mentality to respect Bicycle lanes considering that pedestrian walkways themselves are used inappropriately.

Oh well,
To a better Malaysia

conversations

okokok last post before I begin my work again.

It seems that people here don't have conversations. Or maybe it's just me?
Very possible.

I wanna have more conversations, about art, literature, history. Instead of beginning a conversation with a complaint or the traffic.

Lets see.
Need to make new friends

Dancing on my own

Well she talks about dancing, in a club, by herself, and I think her Girlfriend/bestfriend has left her. It was a soundtrack in one of the episodes of Girls Season 1. It's got a really catchy tune to it! I love it!

I can really resonate with this song. I feel the same a little, but in this country. Wish I could have no one depending on me. The feeling ain't that great.

I mean work is great! I love building my business, but I don't think I'm doing it for me. Need to do something for my self. But I don't know what it is that I'd want to do.

I feel so disconnected from the people of this country. Maybe I'm staring at the computer too much? or it's the work?
or I just need to be on a permanent holiday.

i've already started searching for apartments in Lisbon. Hope I make it there next year!

PS: As always, I blog when I'm procrastinating! hehe
but the above feelings are true at the time of writing.

is it the government or the people?

After having spent a month in the UK with the sister, I've come back to Malaysia thinking what an ugly country this is.

before  went for my holiday, I did think Malaysia was beautiful, I loved the narrow streets or the Old Kuala Lumpur.

Now, I just think it's ugly.

The streets, the people, the government also perhaps.

Whether it is the people who make the bad government, I can't quite tell.

The people here seem so uncouth all of a sudden, rude, don't smile, there aren't proper pedestrian walkways, if there are, people would have set up shops, not only blocking the path, making pedestrians risk their lives walking on the road, but also adding to traffic congestion. People park anywhere and everywhere. Litter, don't provide vegetarian options.

As mundane as these things probably are, I feel that it's these little mundane things that make a country truly liveable in.

But, come to think of it, the only reason the people in UK do so is cos all those issues mentioned above are regulated. But then again, it's the people who get them regulated.

So essentially, it's really the Malaysian people who have not evolved.

But then again, there is a growing number of Malaysians who are responsible citizens and play their role. But I think they need to be a lot more aggressive, instead of just doing your own role, you've also got to realise an awareness for it.

But I suppose when supporting facilities aren't that great, it becomes difficult too.
